BOB ROTH

Head of Baseball Operations

Coach Bob Roth brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of player development to the MO Dawgs organization. A standout shortstop at Marquette High School, he was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2005. He went on to play amateur baseball in the competitive Mon-Clair League before being signed by the GCL Nationals, spending a season in the Washington Nationals organization. Following his playing career, Coach Roth has dedicated over 15 years to coaching high-level baseball across all age groups. He has worked with five respected clubs throughout the St. Louis area and is known for his deep knowledge of the game, strong leadership, and commitment to helping players reach their full potential.

JON CURD

Head of Player Development

Coach Jon Curd brings over 30 years of playing and coaching experience to the Dawgs organization, spanning youth baseball (ages 5–14), high school, and college levels. A San Francisco native, Jon played four years of high school ball as a pitcher and second baseman. Though recruited as a pitcher, his love for playing the field never wavered. At Washington University in St. Louis, he thrived as a two-way player at shortstop and on the mound. After graduating, Jon joined the university’s coaching staff as a pitching coach, launching a coaching career that has impacted players at every level of the game.
Coach Curd is driven by a deep passion for player development and a love for the game. While he focuses on the complete development of his players, his true specialty lies in infield defense. He challenges athletes to grow physically—through skill-building and strength work—and mentally, by sharpening their mindset and approach. His all-encompassing, high-energy style helps players become their best on and off the field.

Briley Buckley

Head Coach

Coach Briley Buckley was born and raised in Overland Park, KS, and moved to St. Louis in 2021. He began his college baseball career at Johnson County Community College (a Division I JUCO) in 2016, where he played a key role in a 49-win season and helped lead his team to the Regional Championship as a dominant closer. His impressive stats include a 9-2 record, 3 saves, a 2.92 ERA, and 84 strikeouts in 61 innings pitched, earning him All-American honorable mention and conference honors. After JCCC, Briley continued his career at NCAA Division I Abilene Christian University, where he found success until a shoulder injury ended his playing days. Now, he channels his passion and love for the game into coaching the next generation of players.

Ryan Zuegin

Head Coach

Coach Ryan Zeugin brings years of experience and a deep passion for player development. He spent four years coaching with various clubs, working with athletes from grade school through high school, and helping them grow in skill, confidence, and love for the game. A former collegiate infielder at Missouri Valley College, Ryan draws on his playing experience to teach the game with insight and purpose. His coaching philosophy emphasizes a fun, positive environment focused on developing well-rounded athletes both on and off the field.

Andy Lambert

Head Coach

Coach Andy Lambert was born in Dubuque, Iowa and raised in Winterset, Iowa. He earned a degree in Sports Management from the University of Iowa and brings a strong playing background and a passion for player development to the field. A four-year letterman in high school, Andy went on to pitch for Central Iowa College, where he played a key role in a championship season. His individual accolades include being named First Team All-State and a unanimous First Team All-Conference selection from 2016 to 2018. His coaching philosophy centers on helping young athletes grow both mentally and physically, preparing them with the mindset and skill set needed for success on and off the field.

Steve Edelman

Head Coach

Coach Edelman developed a love for baseball at an early age, starting with youth ball at Kirkwood Athletic Association and countless hours practicing with his father and friends. He played select and travel baseball through high school, competing across the U.S. and Canada against top-tier teams and future MLB stars like Scott Rolen and Andruw Jones. A versatile player, he covered every position except catcher, with a primary focus on pitching, centerfield, and third base. A lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, Coach Edelman now enjoys sharing his deep knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategy, and love for the game with his three sons and the next generation of players.

Jeremy Halbrook

Head Coach

Coach Halbrook brings valuable experience and athletic talent to the MO Dawgs organization. He played Little League through high school and continued at the Legion level as a catcher and first baseman. After his baseball career, Jeremy found a new competitive outlet in men’s travel softball, where he has played at the B level and now competes on the senior travel circuit. His accomplishments include two state championships and a third-place finish at the Softball World Series in Orlando, Florida. Jeremy has been coaching youth baseball for the past five years, sharing his passion for the game and helping young athletes grow both on and off the field.
